The Host Converted to 3D

Why? Just why? That's a question we find ourselves asking a lot lately. And you can officially add the following statement to your "Wow, really?" list - Bong Joon-ho's acclaimed creature feature/family drama The Host has been converted to 3D.

According to The Hollywood Reporter Joon-ho recently unveiled the conversion along with new 3D effects to an audience who apparently liked it, at least that's what the article insinuates as it's rife with congratulatory back-patting by the powers-that-be including the director.

As of press time there's no word available as to when we'll see this new version. I'm still wondering if anyone will even want to. In other news the article adds that The Host 2 is slated to open in 2013.

More soon.

Put it out in the USA theaters and I will damn sure go see it. It's the best monster movie ever made.

I beg to differ. It's a poorly paced flick with with a monster that looks like a Playstation video game character.

The best monster movie ever made? The Thing.
