Hot on the heels of the announcement of the Maniac Cop 2 Blu-ray details, we now have the goods on the final film in the cult favorite trilogy, Maniac Cop 3: Badge of Silence. You have the right to remain silent and read on!
Blue Underground will release the flick as a Blu-ray/DVD combo on November 19th. Maniac Cop 3: Badge of Silence sees back-from-the-grave Matt Cordell (Robert Z’Dar) continuing his murderous rampage, this time seeking vengeance for Officer Kate Sullivan (Gretchen Becker), who’s been framed for killing a civilian by an unscrupulous TV news crew. Now credited as being helmed by Alan Smithee (for reasons explored in the disc supplements), the movie also stars Robert Davi, Caitlin Dulany, Paul Gleason, Jackie Earle Haley, Julius Harris, Doug Savant and Robert Forster. Newly transferred in 4K high definition from the original uncut negative, Maniac Cop 3: Badge of Silence is presented in 1080p 2.35:1 widescreen, with DTS-HD 5.1, Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround EX and Dolby Surround 2.1 soundtracks, enhanced for D-Box motion-control systems.
