Last House Director Finds a Spooky New Home
There's an old saying ... you can pick your friends, but you can't pick your family. That's a shame, too, because family members can be the biggest assholes on the planet. Especially when they decide to come back and haunt you. Speaking of which ...
According to Variety Graham King's GK Films, Leonardo DiCaprio's Appian Way and Paranormal Activity executive producer Steven Schneider are teaming to produce the psychological thriller Home, which Dennis Iliadis will direct from a script by Adam Alleca.
Iliadis and Alleca previously teamed on Rogue Pictures' 2009 remake of The Last House on the Left.
Home follows an unstable young man staying at his recently deceased father's house. As odd phenomena begin to occur, he struggles to determine whether he's having a nervous breakdown or his father is haunting him.
King and Tim Headington will produce for GK Films, while Jennifer Killoran and Alex Mace will produce for Appian Way. Alleca wrote the first draft of Home in less than a week back when he was working as a 22-year-old intern at Eli Roth's Raw Nerve shingle. The script was featured on the 2005 Black List.
