Tales From The Rumor Mill: Left 4 Dead 3… Confirmed???

Will we hear the wonderful word “RELOADING!” again soon? It’s possible! While on a tour of Valve’s office in Bellevue, WA as part of The International 3 tournament, a DOTA 2 (Defense Of The Ancients) player took a very interesting pic!

The image is of what IGN calls an “internal changelog” that lists not only Left 4 Dead 3 as a “current project” but Source 2 as well. These photo shows a similar leak from Valve’s internal email this last June but IGN says can’t confirm what the hell is going on (YET).

As a gamer and HUGE Valve/L4D fan, I’m excited at the prospect of a third installment as Valve does the zombie/survival horror genre RIGHT. If not for the L4D multiplayer, I’d have never been introduced to Uncle Creepy and become one of the misfit toys that is the staff and my extended family here at DC.

And let’s be honest; if not for the HUGE popularity of the L4D franchise causing a renewed interest in zombie games, other titles like Dead Rising (which I STILL refer to as an L4D homage) and the upcoming Dying Light may have had a harder time getting made.

And before you ask, Gabe Newell ain’t saying shit, but I can wait… for a while that is.
