Tucker & Dale vs. DVD and Blu-ray in November
This weekend needless remakes of Conan the Barbarian and Fright Night are struggling to attract an audience. Meanwhile, a crowd-pleasing original movie like Tucker & Dale vs. Evil has endured a long, arduous journey just to secure any release at all.
That journey ends on November 29th when Magnolia releases Tucker & Dale vs. Evil to DVD and Blu-ray. Details are preliminary so no further info as to what extras will be included on the discs is available at the moment.
Eli Craig’s hilarious horror-comedy centers on two redneck buddies, played by "Firefly"’s Alan Tudyk and "Reaper"’s Tyler Rabine, who, thanks to a series of misunderstandings and unfortunate events, are mistaken for psychopathic hillbillies by a group of judgmental college brats, who themselves turn homicidal, after the duo’s rescue of one of their friends, "30 Rock"’s Katrina Bowden, gets misconstrued as a backwoods abduction.
For those of you that cannot wait until after Thanksgiving, Tucker & Dale vs. Evil will be available On Demand beginning August 26th and receive a limited theatrical release on September 30th. Kind of a shame that this isn’t getting the wide theatrical release it so richly deserves.
We’ll bring you more details on the November 29th DVD/Blu-ray release specs when they become available.

What's This? Text on a Screen that Spells Frankenweenie?!?Yeah, sorry about the surly headline. Just got back from seeing Fright Night, and my mood is kind of foul. Anyway, breaking news out of the Disney Expo! Prepare to feel the Earth move as you gaze in wonder at the Frankenweenie title card. The animated film is based on Burton’s 1984 short film about a pet dog brought back to life by his loyal owner after it is struck by a car.

Definitely a must buy. This one is very clever and most of the comic beats work.
Go for it, people, it will make you smile.
