First Stills from Upcoming Creature Feature Dead SeaOrigin Releasing and Micro Bay Features have released the first stills from their upcoming action/creature feature Dead Sea, and we have a look at them right here for you along with the early details on the flick.

Synopsis:
Dead Sea follows a marine biologist who reluctantly returns to the town she grew up in, only to encounter the violent paranoia that has overtaken its locals as they prepare for the return of a serpentine creature said to appear every thirty years to feed.

The science fiction thriller is written and directed by Brandon Slagle (2012 Shockfest Award Winner – Best Director, The Black Dahlia Haunting) and stars Alexis Iacono (The Penny Dreadful Picture Show, Blue Caprice), Britt Griffith (Syfy’s “Ghost Hunters”), Devanny Pinn (Nude Nuns with Big Guns), James Duval (Independence Day, Donnie Darko), Chanel Ryan (Bad Kids Go to Hell, BASEketball), Candace Kita (Barb Wire, “Nip/Tuck”), Jw Wiseman (“Deadliest Warrior”), Tawny Amber Young (The Guilt Trip, Bloodsucka Jones), and KJ McCormick (Syfy’s “Ghost Hunters”).

Creature effects are being provided by Phil Nichols of Facades FX Lab (Arlington Road, Boggy Creek, the upcoming Bigfoot Wars).

More information, including a trailer, will appear early this fall as the film is readied for its theatrical premiere, to be followed by its home video release in 2014. Until then, you can follow along on the newly launched Dead Sea Facebook page.
