Scott Derrickson's Untitled Found Footage Film Gets a Sinister Title
We've been talking about Scott Derrickson's untitled found footage film for a while now, and even though we have a star and even a studio, the project has remained nameless. Until now.
Shock Till You Drop is reporting that they've been told the flick's title is now Sinister. Will it stick? That's anyone's guess. We'll keep you posted.
Jason Blum is producing with Brian Kavanaugh-Jones' Automatik Entertainment and shooting starts in September.
From a script by Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill, "Ethan Hawke plays a journalist who travels with his family around the country to investigate gruesome murders he turns into books. After he moves his family into a house where another family was murdered, the journo discovers found footage that unveils horrifying clues beyond what caused the original tragedy."
