Rock and Shock Film Festival 2011 Looking For Entries
Previously we mentioned the fact that Screamfest LA Horror Film Festival 2011 has put out its last call for entries. Well, let's say you're a filmmaker, but California isn't exactly your scene. Maybe you kissed a girl and you liked it, but California Girls aren't exactly your thing. If you're more an East Coast-minded individual, well, we've got something for you, too.
The ass-kicking, bubble gum-chewing Rock and Shock Film Festival (October 14-16 in Worcester, MA) has opened its arms to welcome film entries of its own. (And by the way, they're all out of bubble gum.) The deadline for submissions will be sometime in late September, but don't let that stop you from acting now! Don't procrastinate; motivate! One of you may eventually thank me for this kick in the ass.
From the Press Release
It’s that time of year again, and we’re excited to announce the call for entries to the 4th Rock and Shock Film Festival being held October 14-16 in Worcester, MA at this year's Rock and Shock convention.
We are looking for your newest horror shorts and features to be screened in our festival during New England’s largest gathering of horror and heavy metal fans. So go to the Rock and Shock website for the film entry form and submission information.
Get those films in so Ric and Josh of the Arkham Film Society can personally screen all entries and determine the most horrifying films to show at this year's festival. Deadline is late September.
And for those in the New England area, BY ALL MEANS, plan on attending Rock and Shock 2011. The line-up of guests already confirmed is amazing, with more to come! Just a quick glace at the guest list shows names like Robert Englund, Kane Hodder, Bill Moseley, Lance Henriksen, Gary Busey and son, both Boondock Saints and…what…the Starman himself, Ace Frehley! And this is just the tip of the iceberg. This festival is going to rock…and shock! Plan ahead now. Thank me later.
