Carla Gugino Wanders into M. Night Shyamalan’s Wayward Pines

More casting news has come in for M. Night Shyamalan’s small screen endeavor, “Wayward Pines,” as Carla Gugino has signed on to play Kate Hewson, a former love interest of Matt Dillon‘s Secret Service agent Ethan Burke.

Melissa Leo also stars.

Based on the best-selling novel Pines by Blake Crouch, “Wayward Pines” is an intense, mind-bending thriller evocative of the classic cult hit “Twin Peaks.” “Wayward Pines” is set to debut in 2014.

Synopsis
Ethan Burke (Dillon) is a Secret Service agent who arrives in the bucolic town of Wayward Pines, Idaho, on a mission to find two missing federal agents. But instead of answers, Ethan’s investigation only turns up more questions. Each step closer to the truth takes Ethan further from the life he knew, from the husband and father he was, until he must face the terrifying reality that he may never get out of Wayward Pines alive.
