Dread Central favorites Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan are one of Hollywood’s most prolific writing/filmmaking duos, and neither of them is showing any signs of slowing down. Their next project will be a tale of the supernatural called Outliers. Read on for details.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, 20th Century Fox has acquired Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan’s pitch Outliers for Peter Chernin to produce.
The pair, best known for writing Saw IV, V, VI and VII, have become a hot commodity among the studios, landing such high-profile gigs as God of War, which Universal Pictures is moving quickly on, and Rise for Warner Bros. as well as a two-month rewrite job on Pacific Rim on set with Guillermo del Toro.
The idea for Outliers, which is dubbed a supernatural action film, came from David Karlak, who is attached to direct. Plot details are being kept under wraps.
