The Night Crew Releases Episode 8
On the Internet, unlike in space, everyone can hear you scream… Yes, those Wildmen from Washington, Thom Carnell and Sean “The Butcher” Smithson, are back with Episode 8 of their Night Crew Podcast. This time out the boys again sit down with Hollywood historian David Del Valle, among others.
Del Valle returns to talk about his visit to the Pricentennial, a St. Louis event held in honor of what would have been the great Vincent Price’s 100th birthday, which he hosted along with Victoria Price, the legendary thespian’s daughter.
Next the audience is introduced to their Melbourne, Australia contributor Lee Gambin. Lee is a regular contributor to Fangoria magazine and runs the Sissies and Sluts Theater group, a goofy, gory, and dangerously smart bunch of people running amok on the stage floors of Melbourne. Lee joins Thom and Sean in a dissection and comparison of two “rock musicals”: The Phantom of the Paradise from 1975 and Repo! The Genetic Opera from 2008 (which gets absolutely eviscerated).
Also along for the ride, as usual, is author and Fangoria contributor Philip Nutman, who continues his Wild Wild Westerns Primer. In this installment Phillip looks at the original version of True Grit featuring the great John Wayne. Then Fangoria editor-in-chief Chris Alexander jumps into the deep end as he waxes nostalgic about that aquatic atrocity from '83, Jaws 3D.
Plus there’s the usual madness, mayhem, and music all on episode 8... of THE NIGHT CREW!
