The final part of our Super 8 soundbites series is all about the man himself, J.J. Abrams. If you're still craving more information about the flick, even after our own Heather Wixson's interview with J.J. Abrams, the videos below should satisfy.
Check out our spoiler-free Super 8 review before you head out to the theaters this weekend. The movie is written and directed by J.J. Abrams, produced by Steven Spielberg, and stars Kyle Chandler, Elle Fanning, Joel Courtney and Ron Eldard.
In the soundbites videos below, Abrams talks about how the idea of Super 8 came about and the endless search to cast the right kids. It was important that the heart of the movie, "Joe", just like the film itself, be able to exhibit a wide range of emotions. In Video #2 J.J. elaborates on the casting of Elle Fanning as "Alice", who without question added a strong presence to the proceedings. In the last video J.J. waxes on about working with the iconic Steven Spielberg as well as cinematographer Larry Fong and composer Michael Giacchino.
