Finally Peter Jackson's The Frighteners is Headed to Blu-ray!

Oh, happy day. If you've never seen Peter Jackson's spooker The Frighteners, you're in for a treat that likes of which are rarely seen. If you have? Then it's a good bet you've never quite seen it look this amazing!

According to High Def Digest Universal Studios is preparing Peter Jackson's The Frighteners for Blu-ray release on September 13th.

The film stars Michael J. Fox, Chi McBride, and Jeffrey Combs; was produced By Robert Zemeckis; and features music by the legendary Danny Elfman.

The release will include both the theatrical cut and the director's cut (adding 23 minutes to the film) in 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements including: Peter Jackson Intro, The Making of The Frighteners, Feature Commentary with Director Peter Jackson, Storyboards, My Scenes, and Pocket BLU.

Me too! One of my favorites and, honestly, I think it's Jackson's best film. Can't wait for this.
