Another Day. Another Two Nameless Hunger Games Tributes.
Guess what? Seriously, guess. We'll wait. Come on, you can do it. What's that? More Trubutes have been added to Lionsgate's adaptation of The Hunger Games? How in the world could you possibly have guessed that? You guys are way too smart for us!
For those of you playing along, Samuel Tan and Mackenzie Lintz have joined the cast of The Hunger Games. They will portray the unnamed Tributes from District 8 in this adaptation of the Suzanne Collins novel.
They join the previously announced Jennifer Lawrence, Elizabeth Banks, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Paula Malcolmson, Willow Shields, Amandla Stenberg, Dayo Okeniyi, Chris Mark, Jackie Emerson, Leven Rambin, Jack Quaid, Ian Nelson, Kalia Prescott, Ethan Jamieson, Tara Macken, Ashton Moio and Kara Petersen in the film.
Look for the Gary Ross-directed adaptation in theaters on March 23, 2012, and be sure to keep your eyes on the official The Hunger Games Facebook page and the official The Hunger Games Twitter feed for updates.
Set in post-apocalyptic America, the movie will introduce heroine Katniss Everdeen, a self-sufficient 16-year-old who lives in District 12, one of the poorer districts in the nation of Panem, what used to be known as North America before its utter destruction several years earlier. Katniss becomes a participant in the Hunger Games, an annual televised tournament where one boy and one girl from each of the nation's twelve districts must fight to the death until only one competitor, or "tribute," is left standing.
