CONFIRMED: Guy Pearce Boards Prometheus!

A few days ago rumors start swirling around regarding Guy Pearce having a role in Prometheus (you know that sort of Alien prequel thing Ridley Scott's doing) and today confirmation has finally come. He's IN!

Originally reported by CHUD and now confirmed by IndieWire's The Playlist blog, Pearce (pictured right; Memento, The Hurt Locker, The Road, Don't Be Afraid of the Dark) has officially joined the rock-solid cast.

As previously announced, Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Rafe Spall, Idris Elba, Sean Harris, Logan Marshall-Green, and Kate Dickie all star.

No word yet on whom Pearce portrays, but we'll keep digging.

Look for Prometheus in theatres on June 8th, 2012.
