Shooting over the course of a short six days earlier this month in and around an industrial complex in South Central L.A., this writer paid the production a set visit on April 13, initially to find the cast and crew (producing credits go to Creep Creepersin and David Sterling, as well as to executive producer Ted Chalmers) in good spirits and working efficiently to make their day.
Written by Keith Parker and directed by Charlie Vaughn (who previously directed last year’s feature Vampire Boys), Bloody Mary 3D tells the story of the spirit of the titular character (as portrayed by Penthouse Pet and actress Veronica Ricci), who after shuffling off the mortal coil in 1904 via execution due to her alleged adultery, returns to exact revenge on the bloodline of her executioner. In this case that’s Matt Elias (actor Derek Jameson), the grandson of Mary’s murderer and an up-and-coming rockstar.
With two of the groupies in attendance for the filming of Elias’ new video, the stage is set when the girls unwittingly conjure up the spirit of the vengeful Mary, who wastes no time in taking corporeal form and laying waste to those in attendance. Rounding out the cast is Alena Savostikova, Shannon Bobo, Michael Simon, Bear Badeaux, Natalie Pero, Ryan Barry McCarthy, Diane Jay Gonzalez, Shaun C. Philips, Brittney Rose, Genna McCohen and 70’s porn legend Ron Jeremy, with practical effects provided by Jacky Belle and Corey Webber.
