Fading of the Cries Gets Its Release Date
Back in August of 2009 we weren't kidding when we said this one was deep in post-production, with release far off. However, almost two years later, the good folks behind Fading of the Cries have finally has announced a release for sometime in late May or early June. This is no direct-to-video release though; Eammon Films is planning on sending this one to theatres.
No details yet on how wide this will release or the after-market plans. However, with a film of this scope, it's only fitting that it get some kind of theatrical release. Check out the trailer ... g'head we'll wait.
This looks like something far removed from the average indie film; boasting over 1,100 effects shots and genre mainstay Brad Douriff. Quite frankly, I'm also kind of a fan of Thomas Ian Nicholas. No I'm not kidding, he entertains me.
Fading of the Cries stars Brad Dourif, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Mackenzie Rosman, Hallee Hirsch, Julia Whelan, Jessica Morris, Lateef Crowder, Elaine Hendrix and Jordan Matthews; and is written & directed by Brian A. Metcalf (making his debut), with Karoline Kautz, Thomas Ian Nicholas and Brian A. Metcalf serve as producers.
A young man armed with a deadly sword, saves a teenage girl named Sarah from a malevolent evil that has begun plaguing a small farmland town, while in search of an ancient necklace that had belonged to Sarah’s Uncle. The two set out to get to Sarah's home safely, running through streets, fields, churches and underground tunnels, while being pursued by hordes of demonic creatures.
