Leigh Whannell Catches Cooties From the Living Dead

With Insidious tearing up the box office, all eyes are on writer/star Leigh Whannell to see what he'll be cooking up next. Turns out his next project may just make you a bit itchy in the most fatal of ways.

Whannell spoke to website Bleeding Cool and announced that his next project would be a zombie comedy called Cooties. "I actually just wrote a comedy about a zombie virus that breaks out in a primary school but only affects people who haven’t been through puberty," says Whannell. "There’s all these eight- or nine-year-olds running around and the teachers are holed up inside the school. And the titles of the film is…? 'Cooties.' That’s just an out and out comedy."

Seriously? The sooner we get infected, the better. Pack your salves, folks. If this takes off, something tells me we'll be in for one hilarious ride! More soon!
