India Eisley Brings New Blood to Underworld 4: New Dawn
Finally some solid details have come regarding Sony Screen Gems' next entry into the ever so toothy (and hairy, we always forget about the Lycans) Underworld franchise, Underworld 4: New Dawn. It looks as if Selene may just have found her daughter.
The latest actor to join the series is youngster India Eisley (pictured right). She'll be joining the returning Kate Beckinsale (how we missed seeing her all leathered up in the last flick) as well as the previously announced Michael Ealy, who'll be taking on the role of "Detective Sebastian"; Sandrine Holt (Starship Troopers 2, Resident Evil: Apocalypse) and Robert Lawrenson round out the cast.
Beckinsale, star of the first two films, returns in her lead role as the vampire warrioress Selene, who escapes imprisonment to find herself in a world where humans have discovered the existence of both Vampire and Lycan clans and are conducting an all-out war to eradicate both immortal species.
The screenplay for Underworld 4: New Dawn was written by Len Wiseman (Underworld, Underworld: Evolution), John Hlavin ("The Shield"), and Allison Burnett (Gone, Fame). Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein are directing the Sony Screen Gems sequel that is scheduled to be in theatres on January 20th, 2012.
