Writer Found to Pen Summit Entertainment’s Exorcism Diaries

If there’s one thing you can count on, it’s that the Devil is red hot as possession films usually result in box office dollars no matter how good or bad. Honestly, we’re dying for someone to finally get it right. Can Summit Entertainment’s Exorcism Diairies do it?

Does it even stand a holy ghost of a chance?

According to Deadline, Black List scribe Barbara Marshall has been brought on to write Summit’s demonic new flick, which is said to be inspired by the book The Real Story Behind The Exorcist by Mark Opsasnick.

Exorcism Diaries is being produced by Roy Lee, Sonny Mallhi and Doug Davison. The project was originally acquired by Summit as a pitch by Adam Simon and Tim Metcalfe. John Sacchi will oversee the project for the studio.
