Exclusive VOD Trailer Debut - Exorcismus (The Possession of Emma Evans)
This month the devil will make her do it On Demand (man, that sounds all kinds of dirty) when Filmax's The Possession of Emma Evans aka Exorcismus debuts on VOD courtesy of IFC Midnight. To usher in the movie's arrival we have an exclusive trailer debut that's riddled with never before seen footage!
From the looks of it, all of those people who have been complaining that films like The Last Exorcism or The Exorcism of Emily Rose didn't go demonic enough are in for a real devil-induced treat!
In an interesting turn of events, Exorcismus was originally retitled to The Possession of Emma Evans, but judging from the trailer the powers that be have gone back to the original title.
The film is AVAILABLE NOW nationwide On Demand and this weekend at the IFC Center in NYC.
Other special limited dates:
1/14 @ the Grandview - Columbus, OH
1/21 @ the Burton - Detroit, MI
2/4 @ the Sunset 5 in LA + the Music Box in Chicago
Exorcismus: The Possession of Emma Evans was directed by Manuel Carballo and stars Tommy Bastow, Sophie Vavasseur, Richard Felix, Douglas Bradley, and Stephen Billington.
Fifteen-year-old Emma Hawkins is like any other teenage girl; she thinks that her parents don’t understand her. She longs for independence and a life free of family ties and responsibilities, and she is prepared to do anything to achieve it. But one day she will be forced to face up to the consequences of her actions.
Life seems to be carrying on as normal until one day Emma starts experiencing frightening fits. Her parents are convinced that her problems are either medical or psychological, but when doctors' tests are unable to draw any conclusions, the family is forced to look elsewhere for answers.
It all started off as a bit of fun. Emma never really believed it, but the truth is there is something dark and sinister within her, and it won’t take long to surface.
