Come on, we’ve all done it. Who hasn’t been standing in front of the bathroom mirror, admiring your reflection, and thought to yourself, “I wonder what I would look like as…oh, I don’t know…a bloodthirsty mutant.” The guys behind Escape From Jesus Island want to help you find out.
For those of you not yet in the loop, Escape From Jesus Island is an upcoming graphic novel from writer Shawn French, illustrator Mortimer Glum, art editor Peeter Parkker and letterist Rachelle Leon that tells the story of an attempt to clone Jesus that eventually succeeds, but in the process creates scores of hideously deformed freaks and a twin brother, Damien, who has all of Christ’s powers and a very different agenda. When the Vatican hears of Christ’s return and sends in an extraction team, all Hell breaks loose. Escape From Jesus Island is a 132-page, full-color tale of horror and will be hitting shelves this summer.

Want to be a mutant? That’s the question being posed by the creators of the upcoming horror graphic novel Escape From Jesus Island. Illustrator Mortimer Glum has already transformed over a dozen fans into mutant versions of their current selves, and he’s looking for the next group of fans to take the Make Me A Mutant challenge. To be the next fan to receive a mutant makeover, all you have to do is introduce 50 Facebook friends to the Escape From Jesus Island Facebook page.
“Fans have really been enjoying this promotion and we’re psyched to extend the offer to a new group of wannabe mutants,” said writer Shawn French. “Bring in 50 new Likes for our page and we’ll create a custom image of you as a mutant. It’s that simple. We’ll even provide you with some tools to make it easier to reach out to your Facebook community.”
