Coscarelli's New Project Revealed - John Dies at the End
Well, let the last two solid days of speculation finally come to an end. Would the legendary Don Coscarelli's new project be Phantasm 5 or Bubba Nosferatu? Nope, it's something entirely different that's rockin' a hell of a cast thus far.
According to AICN Paul Giamatti and Clancy Brown will star alongside Angus Scrimm, Chase Williamson, and Rob Mayes in an adaption of David Wong's (real name Jason Pargin) John Dies at the End, which was first announced back in February of 2008.
Dig on the plot crunch below.
Synopsis
It's a drug that promises an out-of-body experience with each hit. On the street they call it Soy Sauce, and users drift across time and dimensions. But some who come back are no longer human. Suddenly a silent otherworldly invasion is under way, and mankind needs a hero. What it gets instead is John and David, a pair of college dropouts who can barely hold down jobs. Can these two stop the oncoming horror in time to save humanity?
No. No, they can't.

AWESOME!
I am so ready for this movie!
Much as I adore the Phantasm flicks and Bubba Ho-tep (and I truly love them all); I feel an even bigger thrill that Coscarelli is making something NEW.
I rely on DC to keep us informed of everything related to this production and maybe even wrangle an on-set visit (ahem, do it guys).
Now I have to decide if I should read the source material or do it after like I did with Bubba Ho-tep; decisions, decisions.
