The Tween Hellraiser Remake Finds Director, Star
With the low-budget Hellraiser: Revelations currently shooting under the helm of director Victor Garcia, it seems as if preliminary planning on the oft-touted Hellraiser remake is continuing rather smoothly ... and more misguided than usual.
According to Bloody Disgusting, director Christian E. Christiansen (The Roomate) is close to landing the gig which will resurrect Pinehead for a whole new generation of kids too stupid to rent the original. Word is that the Weinstein duo (Harvey and Bob) are looking to boost the appeal of the franchise for teenagers, which is why Amber Heard (All the Boys Love Mandy Lane) is being courted to star.
Doesn't sound all that promising ... that's for damn sure. And, not for nothing, but does anyone actually think teenagers are going to flock to a movie about sadomasochistic demons?
