Director David O. Russell Exits Pride and Prejudice and Zombies
The big screen adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith's Pride and Prejudice and Zombies has just hit a bit of a bump in the road as the attached director has moved on to other things. Phooey! That's right! We said phooey!
According to New York Magazine's Vulture director David O. Russell is exiting the project based on the best-selling novel by Seth Grahame-Smith and instead plans to make the dramedy Old St. Louis starring Vince Vaughn as his next film. The blog reports that the reason for Russell's exit was a scheduling conflict with Pride star Natalie Portman (pictured right), who was also the picture's producer at Lionsgate Films.
Guess he didn't want to wait any longer. What this means for the film is anyone's guess, but we're pretty sure another director will be taking the reins soon enough. We hope. Stay tuned.
