Freaky Second Trailer for Carnies
A second trailer has popped up online for Brian Corder's Carnies, starring genre favs Reggie Bannister and Doug Jones, and we've got a look at the goods for you! Dig it!
R Squared Films is giving Carnies an official release throughout San Francisco with tentative dates being planned for the Los Angeles area. Look for it on DVD on October 12th, 2010!
Synopsis
Carnies follows a traveling sideshow in 1936, when the workers set up their oddities and illusions in another town hit by the Dust Bowl. However, this town is different, as a sinister force begins to kill off the carnies one-by-one.
Detective Ellison (Reggie Bannister of ‘Phantasm’) is put on the case and looks at several of the carnies, including the mysterious carnival owner, Helen (Denise Gosset); the strong man, Virgil (Chris Staviski of ‘Zombie Hunter’); and Ratty, the snake handler (Doug Jones of ‘Hellboy’ and ‘Pan’s Labyrinth’).

NEXT STORY
We here at Dread Central are big haunted attraction junkies, and you won’t find better theme park mazes than the ones in the greater Los Angeles area. But how many of them take place at an actual haunted location? If you want to get your Halloween thrills on in one of the world’s most infamous haunts, look no further than Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor in Long Beach, CA.

I like the concept (and when aren't carnivals creepy) but the trailer is distinctly cheap and underwhelming.
