Event Report: The Queen Mary's Dark Harbor Haunt

We here at Dread Central are big haunted attraction junkies, and you won’t find better theme park mazes than the ones in the greater Los Angeles area. But how many of them take place at an actual haunted location? If you want to get your Halloween thrills on in one of the world’s most infamous haunts, look no further than Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor in Long Beach, CA.

As if the Queen Mary weren’t creepy enough on its own, the twisted minds behind Dark Harbor have loaded it up with five haunted mazes, a stage with live bands, and an outdoor bar and lounge. Just don’t expect to drink in peace because the entire place is one giant scare zone with costumed freaks around every corner (we’re still not sure how many of the “ghosts” were actors).

From a psychedelic light-show torture dome to a maze that takes you through the underbelly of a sinking ghost ship, these attractions easily stand up to big league theme parks like Universal's Halloween Horror Nights and Knott’s Scary Farm. If you’re a sucker for California’s badass October haunts, Dark Harbor is not to be missed!

Dark Harbor is currently running through the month of October. GET TICKETS HERE!
