Mold! Spores an Icky Teaser Trailer
If you like your horror movies gooey, gory, and gross, then Neil Meschino's slimy Eighties throwback Mold! might be what you're looking for. The first trailer gives us a taste of the ickiness to come when mutant mold infects a military installation.
Set in 1984, when the war on drugs was at its height, the story concerns a strain of mold developed by the government to wipe out Colombian coca fields. Unfortunately, during a demonstration the mold gets out of control and proves to be deadly to more than just vegetation.
Meschino's independent horror comedy from writer Dave Fogerson is currently in post-production and prepping for a film festival run. The first teaser trailer gives us a good indication of what to expect when this Mold! finally gets unleashed upon us all.
Thanks to Avery for the tip.

Sordid, explicit and violent subject matter has long generated big bucks at the box office (while tame in the eyes of modern audiences, Tod Browning’s Dracula is a prime example, having saved Universal Studios from impending bankruptcy upon its release in 1931). As the years have passed, studios have continued to siphon from the horror well, filling their coffers with revenue generated by an ever-evolving cadre of increasingly brutal horror titles from Hitchcock’s Psycho to Paramount Pictures’ Friday the 13th series and beyond.
