New Mortal Kombat Trailer Shows Off Another Way to Die

When it comes to fighting games, the Mortal Kombat franchise (sans the weak MK vs. DC entry) is as close as fighting games come to horror. Sure there's been Dark Stalkers and such, but nothing has ever been able to equal MK's sheer blood-soaked lunacy.

Today Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios have unleashed an all-new trailer for the highly anticipated video game Mortal Kombat, releasing in 2011 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

The rocking trailer features several classic Mortal Kombat fighters hidden in the shadows preparing for their next vicious attack. Even in the darkness, players will recognize the blue blaze of Raiden’s electricity and the iconic spear attack of Scorpion. You’ll find these kombatants are just as brutal, if not more, under the veil of darkness.
