Dario Argento's Inferno to Hit Blu-ray this October!





I like to think of Dario Argento's Inferno as the most beautiful horror film ever made. And I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we Stateside fans will be able to play this upcoming high definition release on US players because, trust me, this is going to be fantastic.

TwitchFilm tells us that the second installment in Argento's 'Three Mothers' trilogy will hit Blu-ray this October, courtesy of Germany's Koch and Cinema Obscura. They're promising a definitive edition culled around a new HD master that has been both supervised and color corrected by the film's cinematographer, Romano Albani.

Beyond what is sure to be an absolutely stunning transfer for a gorgeous film, check out the sexy collection of brand new extras this release boasts:

- New HD digital transfer of the uncut version was supervised and colour-corrected by the cinematographer Romano Albani
- English, Italian and German audio
- New, 2010 produced and over 90 minutes long documentary about INFERNO with Dario Argento, cinematographer Romano Albani, actress Daria Nicolodi, the makeup as well as the special effects department, Luigi Cozzi, Claudia Simonetti as well as the animal trainer of the film
- Irene Miracle hosted by Tim Lucas
- Question & Answer with music composer Keith Emerson
- New, 2010 produced location tour
- German, English as well as Italian trailer

I'm wiping drool off my chin as I write this. Fingers crossed that this sucker will play on PS3s or whatever you guys use to spin your Blu-rays!
