Jonathan Liebesman to Defy the Gods with Clash of the Titans 2

Director Jonathan Liebesman (Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, Darkness Falls, Battle: Los Angeles) has signed on for the Herculean task of making a good follow-up to the big budget blunder known as the Clash of the Titans remake.
According to The Hollywood Reporter Warner Bros. and Legendary Films are hoping to right the wrongs of the last flick by actually shooting it in 3D this time (as opposed to have it added during post-production) and tapping some of their top writers to work on it.
Stars Sam Worthington and Gemma Arterton are among the actors expected to return for the second installment. We'll keep an eye on things for you, but let me just say if Bubo the Mechanical Owl gets dissed again, there's going to be hell to pay. Everyone is on notice as of NOW!
The writing trio of David Leslie Johnson, Greg Berlanti, and Dan Mazeau will be crafting Perseus' next adventure on paper for Warner. Johnson penned last summer's crazy-ass killer "kid" flick Orphan, and Mazeau's worked on scripts for Jonny Quest and The Flash. That's not a bad combination of horror know-how and action adventure.

"Clash" was beyond terrible. Just an endless string of crap interrupted by occasional inadvertent comedy.

You can't polish a turd, and the entire approach of that remake was a major piece of poo. Bringing on that hack Liebesman doesn't exactly give me any confidence that this one will be any better. They should just let this one go and try something original for a change.
