New Hellraiser Film Gets a Title and a Director

There's been talk of a Hellraiser remake for several years now, and throughout that time many different names had been associated with it. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you're looking at it) things never worked out and the project laid dormant. Yet, now a new standalone film is apparently on its way.

Shock Till You Drop reports that the next chapter in the Hellraiser franchise will be called Hellraiser: Revelations. The film will be helmed by Mirrors 2's Victor Garcia, who will be working from a script by long-time Hellraiser make-up maven Gary Tunnicliffe.

Tunnicliffe is also responsible for the test make-up that you see below for the new Pinhead from the proposed remake. Speaking of which, who knows what this all means for that film. Maybe a redux just isn't in the cards. We can hope, right?
