Entertainment Weekly just released its "Fall Movie Preview" issue, and in it we found several new stills for some upcoming horror flicks as well as the very first image from "Dexter" Season 5! Drink it up, folks!
Below you will find images from each property along with their release dates and plot crunches. Look for more on each really soon.
"Dexter" Season 5 (September 26th, 9:00 PM ET/PT)
"In Season 5 Dexter has to get in touch with things he never felt before: guilt, sorrow, self-forgiveness. There is blowback from his reckless behavior." Along with the series regulars Peter Weller, Julia Stiles, Maria Doyle Kennedy, April Lee Hernandez, and Shawn Hatosy, and a surprisingly returning Julie Benz are all on tap for more Dark Passenger related mayhem.
Buried (September 24)
"Paul Conroy is not ready to die. But when he wakes up 6 feet underground with no idea of who put him there or why, life for the truck driver and family man instantly becomes a hellish struggle for survival. Buried with only a cell phone and a lighter, his contact with the outside world and ability to piece together clues that could help him discover his location are maddeningly limited. Poor reception, a rapidly draining battery, and a dwindling oxygen supply become his worst enemies in a tightly confined race against time. Fighting panic, despair, and delirium, Paul has only 90 minutes to be rescued before his worst nightmare comes true."
Let Me In (October 1)
"Chloe Moretz (Hit Girl from Kick-Ass) stars as Abby, a secretive 12-year old girl, who moves next door to Owen (Kodi Smit-McPhee, The Road). Owen is a social outcast who is viciously bullied at school and, in his loneliness, forms a profound bond with his new neighbor. Owen can’t help noticing that Abby is like no one he has ever met before. As a string of grisly murders occupies the town, Owen has to confront the reality that this seemingly innocent girl is really a savage vampire.
Let Me In, a haunting and provocative thriller written and directed by filmmaker Matt Reeves (Cloverfield) and produced by legendary British horror brand Hammer Films, is an astonishing coming-of-age story between a young girl and an alienated young boy unlike any other you have seen. Based on the best-selling Swedish novel Lat den Ratte Komma (Let the Right One In) by John Ajvide Lindqvist and the highly acclaimed film of the same name, Let Me In takes audiences straight to the troubled heart of adolescent longing and loneliness."
Hereafter (October 22)
"Clint Eastwood's supernatural drama about people who are touched by death in different ways." Matt Damon, Cecile de France, and Bryce Dallas Howard are set to star.
