Exclusive Stills from Scream Queens 2
Last December Dread Central scribe Sean Decker visited the set of VH1 and Joke Productions’ reality series "Scream Queens 2" (read about it here), and the episode he was privy to is airing this coming Monday, August 16th. In honor of the occasion we've been given a few exclusive pics to share with our readers to help get them revved up for the show.
“Scream Queens 2” takes a new cadre of ten aspiring actresses and gives them the chance to win a breakthrough role in “Saw 3D,” the next film in Lionsgate’s “Saw” horror franchise. The reality competition series is produced by Lionsgate and Joke Productions.
This season’s cast is once again being put through a horror film boot camp with intense physical challenges, learning how to work with creatures, gore, and stunts, while also building their acting chops. The winning actress will have to prove to the panel of judges that she has the talent, the looks, and especially the lungs to be a true “Scream Queen.”
Mentoring the hopefuls through the exacting process is former model-turned-actress and horror film alum Jaime King (“My Bloody Valentine,” “The Tripper”). The cast members are being taught by Hollywood’s toughest acting coach, John Homa, and their performances are being directed by Tim Sullivan (pictured above, “2001 Maniacs,” “Driftwood”).
Joke Fincioen and Biagio Messina are executive producers for Joke Productions. Jim Ackerman, Dave Hamilton, and Jeff Olde are executive producers for VH1.
Dig on the photos below (a few of which also feature Sean interacting with Sullivan and some props), and be sure to watch Episode 3 (read its synopsis and see a sneak peek under the stills) this coming Monday!
Episode 3 Synopsis:
Eight actresses remain, all vying for a breakout role in SAW 3D, and they'll be asked to convey true Scream Queen emotions without using words. After narrowly missing "the ax" for two straight weeks, Sierra is determined to prove that she deserves to be in the competition. Karlie, desperate to stand out, reaches an emotional breaking point. And in their most horrific challenge yet, the girls must work with thousands of squirming, disgusting maggots! Will Sarah's uncontrollable panic attacks force her to quit?
