Fox Picks Up Max Landis' Chronicle

Being out here in California has afforded us the opportunity to meet and hang with some really cool people, one of which is Max Landis, the son of horror master John Landis, who penned the "Masters of Horror" episode "Deer Woman" along with the "Fear Itself" episode "Something with Bite". Now Max is back with something new and, knowing him, completely crazed; and we couldn't be happier for him!

Bloody Disgusting broke the story that Twentieth Century Fox has picked up Max Landis' Chronicle, a screenplay described as Unbreakable meets Cloverfield shot hand held style. Josh Trank is attached to direct.

As per The Hollywood Reporter:

"The story focuses on the lives of three Portland teens that become exposed to a mysterious substance in the woods, and, as a result, begin to develop incredible powers. They work together to hone their skills for fun, until personal and family problems begin to turn them against one another."
