Given the popularity of The Hunger Games, it was only a matter of time before someone out there spoofed it. Get ready, kids, to be enveloped in the funny and food-hungry world of The Starving Games.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Maiara Walsh has nabbed the female lead as the spoof version of Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss Everdeen in The Starving Games, a comedic take on The Hunger Games.

Spoofmeisters Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, the duo behind Hollywood greats Date Movie, Meet the Spartans, and Vampires Suck, wrote the script and are directing the parody. The flick pokes fun of not just the Suzanne Collins book series but also The Avengers, Sherlock Holmes, and the finale of the Harry Potter franchise. Walsh will play the lead, a character named Kantmiss Evershot.
