San Diego Comic-Con 2010: Fewdio Premiers Short Film / Announces Feature
Independent Producers Fewdio Entertainment are at Comic-Con this weekend to unveil their latest short film and make an announcement regarding an upcoming feature.
Firsts is their short film, a result of the popular “Write a Short Horror Script for Fewdio” competition, the brainchild of Fewdio, Talenthouse.com and Scripped.com, held back in March. The winning script, written by Ashley Maniw of Toronto, Canada, was chosen by Fewdio out of nearly 300 submissions. Fewdio produced the film and is debuting it at Comic-Con, the world’s biggest comic book convention.
“With the success of last year, we knew there was no better place to premiere Firsts than Comic-Con,” says Fewdio. “The film has been our baby for the last few months, so we’re thrilled to finally be able to show our fans - but we warn, viewer discretion is advised!”
There's also a feature length flick in the pipleine, Claustrophobia, which is being touted as a harrowing Horror experiment. “Australian director Matthew George has a phenomenal vision for this film, and we are incredibly excited to help bring it to reality, “says Fewdio. “This movie represents Horror on a human level – the fear of being trapped and seeing your options dwindle.”
