First DVD Details and Cover Art: Dark Woods

See? Two stories in a row about spooky shit that happens in the woods! And this one comes with some DVD details that express why you should spend your time loving concrete instead of hiking hills.

"Vanguard Cinema has announced that it will release the psychological horror film DARK WOODS September 28. Dark Woods starres actress Tracy Coogan, who previously starred in Dave Gebroe’s ZOMBIE HONEYMOON and was also seen last year in Jake Kennedys PENANCE also served as an associate producer on DARK WOODS.

Lensed in 14 days in the mountains above Los Angeles by director Mike Escobedo from a script by John Muscarnero, the movie stars Tracy Coogan as Susan, a terminally ill woman who is brought to a remote cabin by her husband Henry (played by Muscarnero). As her condition worsens and leads her to break down mentally, Henry enters into a relationship with a local teenaged girl (Mary Kate Wiles), leading to obsessive and potentially deadly developments. James Russo also stars as the local sheriff.

Special features for the DARK WOODS DVD have yet to be announced; retail price is $19.95"
