See the Paranormal Activity 2 Trailer NOW!

Last year audiences were thrilled by what some refer to as one of the scariest films they've ever seen. Like it or not, Oren Peli's little movie that could changed ALL of the rules in Hollywood, and the genre has been better for it.

Upon its release the flick even did the unthinkable by ousting the latest entry in the Saw franchise as the go-to Halloween movie event of the year. Critics and fans alike were stunned. For some the hype ruined the experience, for others it helped sell it. No matter which camp you fell into, you have to admit it was one hell of a ride.

Now Paramount gives us the first official teaser trailer for the sequel, which is being directed by Kip Williams. Check it out below, and to stay tuned to all things Paranormal Activity related, keep your eye on the official Paranormal Activity website and follow the film on Twitter (@TweetYourScream)!

Look for the film in theatres October 22nd of this year.

I'll probably go see it, but I can't say the trailer was particularly impressive.

Hey, this looks like a completely unnecessary sequel that will be total crap.

I hate to have to agree with such an opinion, but given that it's a movie written on the quick to be released in time to compete with another horror film rather than have any time to fine-tune the story to make sure its at its best... to me that sounds like it could pale in comparison with the original. I really hope not as I loved the experience of finally getting to see the first one in front of a crowd who mainly had no idea what it was (resulting in them losing their mind and I think some of them nearly soiled their pants by the time it was over with) after it was hyped for two years straight here on this site, but I'll hope that the sequel is not crap.

I'm definitely interested. I like that it's still cameras mounted on tripods as opposed to shakey handheld camera, and I like that they expanded it to being multiple cams set up (as opposed to one). I don't know how they can possibly match the first movie, though. We'll see.
