In some very good news for Showtime, the Season 7 premiere of “Dexter” delivered the series’ highest rated premiere ever and continued its unbroken streak of increased ratings every year since its prior cycle for the sixth consecutive year.

And in some good news for you guys, we have a preview and two clips from the upcoming Episode Episode 7.02, “Sunshine and Frosty Swirl,” airing on Sunday, October 7th.

When a local convict claims he has new information regarding a fifteen-year-old crime spree, Miami Metro sets out to unearth new evidence on the case. While Debra attempts to cure Dexter of his killer tendencies, the Mike Anderson case leads to the Ukrainian mob, and a vengeful Louis won’t stop meddling with Dexter’s life. Written by Manny Coto and directed by Steve Shill.

Yvonne Strahovski, Santiago Cabrera, Matt Gerald, Ray Stevenson, Jason Gedrick, and Katia Winter join series regulars Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter, Desmond Harrington, C.S. Lee, Lauren Vélez, David Zayas, and James Remar in Season 7.
