Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje Joins Universal's Thing Prequel

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje Joins Universal's Thing PrequelThough most fans recall him from his role on the recently finished "Lost", Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje will always be Adebisi from HBO's "Oz" to us. Though now he's looking to create more memories for genre fans as he is the latest name attached to Universal's prequel to the John Carpenter classic The Thing.

Akinnuoye-Agbaje (obviously not a crazy Swede) has joined the cast that includes the already announced Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Joel Edgerton, Jonathan Walker, Dennis Storhøi, Trond Espen Seim, Jørgen Langhelle, Eric Christian Olsen, Stig Henrik Hoff, Jan Gunnar Røise, Kristofer Hivju, and Jo Adrian Haavind.

The Thing is now shooting up in Toronto, Canada under the direction of Matthijs Van Heijningen from a script by Eric Heisserer. Look for more soon.

Synopsis
A Ph.D. candidate (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) joins a Norwegian research team in Antarctica after it discovers an alien ship in the ice. When a trapped organism is freed and begins a series of attacks, she is forced to team with a blue-collar mercenary helicopter pilot (Joel Edgerton) to stop the rampage.

I think this film is gonna be a complete waste of time and suck...we all know what happened to the norwegians we dont need another film about that...if anything Universal should have got in touch With Carpenter and got him to do a sequel to The Thing With Kurt Russel and Keith David returning..i think that would be much better have them being rescued and somehow the thing geting lose in a huge city would be a better idea

I'm HOPING this will be good, but I'll probably see it regardless. I do love me some MEW.

At best this will be an entertaining monster flick. I'm open to anything MEW is in.
