The Walking Dead - Rick Grimes Has Found His Wife

Every good hero needs a heroine, and the role of Lori has just been filled for Frank Darabont's adaptation of the acclaimed Robert Kirkman comic book series The Walking Dead for AMC.

Entertainment Weekly reports that "Prison Break" favorite Sarah Wayne Callies has landed the female lead in this highly anticipated small screen sliver of zombie apocalypse. She joins the previously announced Jon Bernthal, Jeffrey DeMunn, and Andrew Lincoln.

The Walking Dead is based on Robert Kirkman's popular comic series. It chronicles the months and years following a zombie apocalypse. Frank Darabont is the project's writer, director, and exec producer with Anne Hurd and David Alpert also exec producing. KNB will be handling the effects, and AMC has already ordered six episodes.

I was watching Spartacus and I thought Katirna Law (the slave girl) would have been good as Lori. She's tough and she looks the part.

Good casting so far. I haven't scoffed at anything announced so far. Man this better be good.
