Scribe Eric Heisserer Talks Two More Projects
Man, want to talk about being busy? Writer Eric Heisserer has his fingers in several high profile pots as of late including the A Nightmare on Elm Street redux, which is in theatres now, and the upcoming The Thing prequel for Universal as well as Final Destination 5, but he's not stopping there!
Heisserer revealed to Bloody Disgusting that he has two more projects in the works: Inhuman for director Hideo Nakata and The Occupants for director Peter Cornwell (The Haunting in Connecticut)
The script for Inhuman is "in development limbo over at Fox," Heisserer tells BD. "Set in Tokyo, it's about an American FBI profiler on loan, after a killer who seems to be staging his kills exactly like pages from a monster manga. But the profiler discovers that the kills have been happening before the manga is even published, and the evidence on the scenes starts to point to one answer: This is a real monster doing the killing."
As for The Occupants, "This was originally called The Dionaea House, picked up back in 2005 by Warners with Heyday producing," Heisserer explains. "We were two weeks from shooting when Warners pulled the plug on it. Currently it's dead, but every now and then someone considers resurrecting it."
