Syfy Serving Up Roadkill on The Other Side

Syfy Serving Up Roadkill on The Other SideRHI Entertainment just announced that it has another two supernatural films on the way that will be released on Syfy. Somewhere out there The Foywonder nods in approval. Or is that fright? Only time will tell!

From the Press Release:
RHI Entertainment and Syfy today announced they will co-produce two movies which will air on Syfy in 2011 and will also be available for worldwide distribution at MIP-TV. The Other Side and Roadkill will both begin production on location in Ireland this summer.

The Other Side, written by Douglas G. Davis (Carny), is the story of a groundbreaking device designed to glimpse alternate universes. But when the machine malfunctions on its first demonstration and transports a group of observers into a nightmarish new dimension of bizarre alien terrors, the travelers must use ingenuity and courage to survive. But even if they stay alive, without a working transport, the group may never make it home.

In Roadkill, written by Rick Suvalle (Astroboy), a group of friends take a scenic RV road trip to their high school reunion. Their cross-country adventure takes a decidedly unexpected turn when an ancient Gypsy curse takes wing by way of a giant flesh-eating bird of prey.

"We love both of these scripts and are looking forward to seeing them on the screen," said Robert Halmi, Jr., President, RHI Entertainment. "Both stories are filled with action, suspense, special effects, and great imagination. We anticipate a great reception from the international community while at MIP-TV."

"We've enjoyed a long and productive relationship with RHI, whose movies have been popular with our savvy television audience. We're looking forward to premiering these action-packed and entertaining movies as part of our hit Saturday night original movie block," said Thomas Vitale, Executive Vice President, Programming and Original Movies, Syfy."

Hey 'SyFy'. Bring back Farscape! Do it now or I will building weapons of mass destruction (i.e. farts in a box) and mail them your way!

I have to see Farscape soon. I've heard many good things.

One of my all time favourite shows. It's real SF with a lot of wit, whimsy and great characterizations.

The first season is hit and miss but from the 2nd on it gets better and better until the final movie (which they released to wrap up the series). Highly recommended.
