NECA Gives Us a Better Look at Freddy's Glove From A Nightmare on Elm Street 2010
What would Jason be without his machete? Michael without his butcher knife? Pinhead without his numerous implements of torture? Probably okay, but Freddy? He just wouldn't be the same without his trademark glove!
Over on his badass Idle Hands blog our man Nomad scored us a killer close-up of Mr. Krueger's preferred instrument of death!
"We've seen Freddy Krueger's look for the NEW Nightmare on Elm Street reboot. We've even seen his weapon of choice before taking a soothing flame bath. Now, NECA gives us a good look at the iconic blades that will be slicing their way through many a nubile teen April 30th via their newest prop replica."

it's not really much different from the old one

It looks stupid. I'm not sure why they always feel the need to change shit just to change shit. Leave what works, leave what's iconic, leave what made the subject matter popular in the first place, and then make improvements on the old story. Up the ante.
Don't let Jason take hostages or be afraid of water. Don't give Freddy a new glove or the hint of being wrongfully accused. Just fucking take FREDDY KRUEGER and add him into an updated 2010 story about killing kids in their nightmares.

yeah... this isn't really much different. and the glove (and the sweater, and his hat, and his make up) all went through numerous iterations in the sequels. heaven forebid the remake do anything different. or indeed, heaven forebid it do something just the same as the original and have it's very existance questioned.
don't compare this to Wes Craven's masterpiece. compare it to the last few Elm Street films. if it's better than them, i'm all for it.

Hmm, it looks very homemade. Not bad.
