Betsy Russell Unearths Killer Plant Monsters

Just yesterday I told you about over a dozen forthcoming Syfy monster movies. So what's one more? This one is called Unearthed and pits bride of Saw Betsy Russell against murderous half-plant/half-animal monsters.
"An expedition led by adventurer Darren McCall and funded by the wealthy Harry Vargas braves the impenetrable jungle to retrieve a fabled bejeweled dagger from an ancient burial ground. But pulling the dagger from its rightful resting place awakens the long-dormant plant creature - part plant, part animal, and all bloodthirsty -- and sends it on a feeding frenzy from which there seems scant hope of survival or escape..."
Max Martini ("The Unit", Redbelt) and Benito Martinez ("The Shield") star alongside Betsy Russell in this Syfy bound creature feature from the director of those Kevin Sorbo DTV Walking Tall sequels and prolific b-movie actor-producer Andrew Stevens. Filming is currently under way in Shreveport, Louisiana. Look for it on Syfy later this year.
