Tom Atkins Talks Halloween 3D
Ever since news broke of Todd Farmer and Patrick Lussier reteaming to bring us Halloween 3D, we've been hoping and praying that the film gets made because we believe this duo have the chops to get the Halloween franchise back on the track that it needs to be on.
Unfortunately there's been a bit of turmoil along the way, but that hasn't stopped the legendary Tom Atkins from talking a bit about his character returning to the franchise to finally come face-to-face with The Shape.
During an interview with Fangoria regarding his latest film (which will also be for Farmer and Lussier) Drive Angry, in which he'll play Cap — the captain of the Oklahoma State Troopers, Atkins revealed the following about his role in the highly anticipated sequel: [He would be playing] "a shrink in a mental hospital that Laurie [Scout Taylor-Compton] is in with a bunch of other girls who have been up to no good. I'm trying to help them find a way to the light."
And who better to do so? Just the presence of Atkins in the flick would be a great nod to the highly underrated and bastardized Halloween III: Season of the Witch and for our money finally getting a confrontation between Atkins and Myers would be worth the price of admission alone!
Stay tuned, and keep your fingers crossed!

The Season of the Witch is all kinds of bad. Every scene is laughable.

Eat a duck? I've eaten chickens, but I don't think about eating ducks.

Ducks are too cute to eat, personally. It's why I stopped eating dogs.

I'd hope Tom Atkins can get his ass kicked better than he can act.

I don't think anybody outside of Rob Zombie himself thinks the series should be continued in the direction it was heading in.
I know this will have to be a sequel to those movies, but if they got back to the spirit of the original series, I would be fine with that.
Plus, I'll pay to see anything with Atkins in it.

Halloween 3 is highly anticipated? Am I missing something?
Submitted by Terminal on Mon, 03/15/2010 - 3:57pm.
To have a Myer's movie back in true form? Yeah, that's pretty highly anticipated
Submitted by Uncle Creepy on Mon, 03/15/2010 - 5:47pm.
But we don't know it will be Michael back in true form, yet. So until I see a trailer or pictures, I remain firmly skeptical.
Submitted by Terminal on Mon, 03/15/2010 - 5:56pm.
Agreed. I want to be excited about it, but after everything we've been subjected to in the last 4 or 5 Halloween films, it's hard to be anything but skeptical.
