Ruben Fleischer Offers Quick Zombieland 2 3D Update

Now that we've heard from the writers of Zombieland, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, a couple of times, it's good to hear from the man at the helm regarding the upcoming 3D sequel.

In an interview with Icon vs Icon director Ruben Fleischer offered the following update for flesh-hungry fans:

"We have been talking to the studio, and we pitched them some ideas that they seemed to really like. We are definitely doing the film in 3D. Sony has their own 3D division now, and we are going to go get a little tour of that on Tuesday (3/2/2010). I know that the cast are all excited to be a part of the sequel, so it should be a great, fun movie to make! The script is about to be written, and hopefully we will shoot it sometime towards the end of the year or early next year."

Nifty! Look for more soon!

The walking dead is one of the best writen comics out there. I picked up the first issue in Pa back in 03 and was hooked from the get go. In the 68? issues I've read I've come to find that there are more times I'm shocked when someone doesn't die then when they do. Kickman is a butcher to his own creations, I mean that in the nicest way possible.

At the risk of sounding "not cool"...

Kirkman? Does Kirkman has a first name so that I may look him/her up?

since UC says that Kirkman is ruthless, color me interested.

Emy, the name is Robert Kirkman and he's the mind behind one of the greatest comics of all time "The Walking Dead."

You know what will make this sequel fun? If one of the cast actually dies. Because, as many have stated before, it was obvious from the beginning that no one here in the movie was in any actual risk of dying, so that detracted from the fun. That's why, though I'm not a fan of him, Joss Whedon is good about storytelling, because he's not afraid to kill off beloved characters. That's also why Romero and Kirkman are so goddamn great because they're never afraid to kill off core characters in their stories.

Dude at least post a spoiler warning. And if you mean "bullshit" as in very heartbreaking and shocking, then yes it was bullshit.

If there are people that haven't seen Serenity by now then fuck 'em. They probably don't plan on it. It was shocking and heartbreaking but totally and completely stupid because another movie or revival of the show is impossible now.

It's never been possible. Serenity was a farewell to the series. The end. Show over. Bye bye.

Great attitude by the way. Very edgy and cool.

Oh please. Serenity came out 5 years ago. I hate having to worry about spoilers on something that came out yesterday. If you're gonna discuss a movie spoilers are a given are they not? I'm not talking about reviews here but on a message board surely. If I don't wanna know anything about a movie I'm strong enough to resist the urge to go into a thread until I've seen it.

Creepy, I don't want to spoil anything for people who haven't read TWD, but the things he's done to some of my favorite characters have pissed me off at times. I'm not kidding. He's a madman. He gets everyone emotionally involved with these characters and then just pulls the carpet out from under us. Insanity.

I never start reading an issue without a box of Kleenex -- a BIG box -- at hand. I've had my heart broken by Kirkman more than any other author I can think of ... which is why I love him soooooo much! Although if I ever met him in person, I just might have to slap him around a bit ... and thank him profusely of course at the same time.

Same here, WIB. I'm a big fan of Andrea. How she went from a blustering teenager to a hardcore survivalist was an incredible bit of character progression.
