Horror Takes on the Summer Blockbusters! Splice Set For Summer Release from Warner

Finally we have a rock solid date for Vincenzo Natali's Frankenstein-esque creature feature Splice as Warner Brothers has given the film a summer release date of June 4th. Bravo, WB! Can't think of a better way to kick off the hottest season of the year than with some good old fashioned monster mayhem!

The flick, starring Adrien Brody, Sarah Polley, Delphine Chaneac, David Hewlett, and Brandon McGibbon, tells the tale of Elsa and Clive, two young rebellious scientists who defy legal and ethical boundaries and forge ahead with a dangerous experiment: splicing together human and animal DNA to create a new organism. Named Dren, the creature rapidly develops from a deformed female infant into a beautiful but dangerous winged human-chimera, who forges a bond with both of her creators - only to have that bond turn deadly.
