New Artwork - Paranormal Effect
Trying really hard to capitalize on the success of Paranormal Activity is the new feature from Simius Films, Paranormal Effect. Can't really say that we blame them. Who knows? This might just end up being okay, though we're less than thrilled with what we've seen thus far.
Paranormal Effect is a supernatural feature film about one of the most famous Japanese curses. Visiting her native Japan with her American boyfriend, Darren, Reiko is disappointed to see him spend most of his time filming local stereotypes. Already upset, Reiko draws the line when Darren walks into a forbidden cave, which, according to local beliefs, has enshrined Shinto gods since the dawn of time. From then, Reiko and Darren start witnessing strange things happening around them, some of which they manage to catch on camera. Will they have time to understand what is upon them before it is too late?
The film directed by Ryuichi Asano and Teruo Ito will be available on VOD and DVD at Amazon.com, Indieflix.com, and iTunes.

NEXT STORY
Just yesterday you heard the news that legendary b-movie maestro Roger Corman is going to produce Sharktopus. But before that shark/octopus hybrid comes into fruition, there's the matter of Dinoshark, the prehistoric monster shark flick he produced. A premiere date is finally set, and I am sure you will be shocked to know Syfy is where you can see it.

I'll give it a go.

Wow. So now the Japanese are basically trying to remake American ghost movies. This is kind of ridiculous.
